R E S E N S I

Tak terasa waktu telah bergulir dengan cepat. Alice (Mia Wasikowska) kini telah berusia 19 tahun dan melupakan segala petualangan yang sempat ia alami ketika masih kecil. Alice tak akan ingat jika saja petualangan itu tak datang lagi kepadanya tepat ketika ia sedang berada di sebuah pesta.

Alice yang sedang berada di sebuah pesta tiba-tiba menyadari bahwa ia akan segera dilamar di hadapan para pengunjung pesta saat itu. Merasa tak siap menghadapi itu, Alice pun mencoba untuk menghindar. Saat berusaha melarikan diri inilah Alice bertemu White Rabbit (Michael Sheen) yang membimbingnya masuk ke lubang yang ternyata menuju ke Wonderland.

Sepeninggal Alice sepuluh tahun sebelumnya, terjadi sebuah kudeta. Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) berhasil mengambil alih kekuasaan dari White Queen (Anne Hathaway). Seluruh penghuni Wonderland hanya bisa menunggu waktu yang tepat sambil mempersiapkan diri untuk merebut kembali kekuasaan dari Ratu yang jahat ini.

Kembali bertemu Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry), Tweedledee dan Tweedledum (Matt Lucas), March Hare (Noah Taylor), Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) dan Caterpillar (Alan Rickman), ingatan masa lalu Alice pun kembali. Kini Alice menjadi tumpuan harapan semua penghuni Wonderland yang telah lama hidup dalam tekanan

The screenplay is by Linda Woolverton.
